Did you know the word for penguin is pronounced the same in Korean? It is a loan word as penguins do not naturally live in South Korea. The charming and silly nature of penguins makes this amigurumi a fun gift for all.
Ollie is worked from the top down with simple stitches, and parts are then sewed onto the body directly. All parts are worked in the round to keep the pattern as simple as possible.

Finishing
Using pictures as reference, sew beak onto Rnd 10. Using Black yarn, embroider eyes, one stitch away from the beak, as two vertical lines from Rnd 8 to Rnd 9. Sew the belly between Rnds 11 and 22, right under the beak. Sew the arms onto the sides of the body on Rnd 13, about 4-5 stitches away from the belly. Sew the boots between Rnds 23 and 24 so the penguin looks like he is sitting. Position the boots so they point out a bit. Weave in all ends.
