Theme: Air
We’re looking for patterns that celebrate airiness, lightness, and the spaces in between. Think of mohair, but also the time between the ‘what was’ and the ‘next.’ We want to explore transition, the season of waiting, not knowing, and the place where all transformation takes place. The coldness of your breath in winter, fogs, the movement and stillness of air, and icy winds.
Looking for: Knitting and Crochet patterns
Large accessories: Shawls, stoles/wraps, blankets/throws, etc.
Small accessories: socks, gloves, ear warmers, beanies, cowls, etc.
Garments: Sweaters, jumpers, hoodies, etc.
Crafting tutorials – Macrame, beading, embroidery, sewing, basketry, soapmaking, etc.
We’re looking for articles and poems covering all aspects of micro-farming and current events such as air pollution, the spirituality of nature, winter seed starting, vegetable garden planning, etc.
Articles – Full Article 700-1000 words, Current Event 600- 800 words, Poem 100 words.
Recipes: For this issue, we are focusing on recipes and drinks that are fluffy, light, filling but airy. Think Japanese pancakes, meringues, cream puffs, dumplings, etc. Draw inspirations from your own culture, heritage, and ancestry when submitting recipes.
Submission Deadline: 15 June 2022.
